March marks the official start of summer in the Philippines. That means that the sun will be shining extra bright and temperatures will be blazing hot in the following months. Filipinos would need to begin taking extra precautions for them not to be caught in a (sudden) heat wave.
Even those who live comfortably in a condo for sale in The Fort with their air conditioners cannot completely escape the warm season. Eventually, they would have to venture out via commute or your newly-bought car to find another way to cool down.
Luckily, there are several ice cream places in and around Bonfacio Global City (BGC).
The Farmacy
Address: G/F Net Lima Bldg, 4th Ave cor 26th St, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig
The Farmacy comes from the same people that brought WildFlour Café + Bakery in the Philippines. Basically, it is an ice cream parlor that creates their own homemade soda and ice cream flavors. Aside from plain ice cream, they also serve sorbets, sundaes, ice cream floats, ice cream sandwiches, and many more.

Café Seolhwa
Address: The Forum, Federacion, BGC, Taguig, 1634 Metro Manila
Cafe Seolhwa does not exactly serve ice cream to its customers. Rather, it offers them a Korean delicacy known as “bingsu” – a sweet treat mostly made out of finely shaved ice. According to the café, its ice can endure the scorching heat for about 30 minutes, which is really impressive considering the climate the Philippines has at the moment.
Casa Italia
Address: Forbes Town Center, Burgos Circle, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig
Are you looking for a present-day Italian bar that serves “handcrafted premium” gelato? Then, look no further for Casa Italia in BGC is the perfect place for you. It serves unique ice cream flavors for you to try out such as Mama’s Cookies, Whiskey, Dark Truffle, and Forest Berries.
Mad Mark’s Creamery
Address: 3/F Central Square, Bonifacio High Street, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig
Truth be told, Mad Mark’s Creamery is more popular for their steaks. However, its business started out by offering customers homemade ice cream. Try out their most peculiar yet in demand flavors: Javan Hot Chocolate and Half-Baked Madagascar.
Bono Gelato
Address: SM Aura Premier, McKinley Pkwy, Taguig, 1634 Metro Manila
Those who crave artisanal gelato will be happy to hear that this is a staple on the menu of BGC’s Bono Gelato. This ice cream parlor also uses pure, fresh, and fine ingredients, which both foodies and health-conscious people can appreciate.
