Does looking through flyers of BGC condos for sale makes you wish that you lived alone, too? Some people believe that living alone is a kind of passage for someone to grow into an independent adult. It can mean that a person wants to leave home to stand on his own two feet or maybe he just wants to experience the privacy that comes with owning or renting their own place.
If you’re planning to move out but still apprehensive about it, here are some benefits of independent living:
Peace and Quiet
Living alone means that you don’t have to put up with family members doing whatever they want at ungodly hours of the day. No more banging pots in the morning, loud music from your siblings, banging doors, or TV blaring in the background while you do some reading or catch up with your hobbies. Although you’ll miss your family, living independently will give you the chance to live in peace and quiet – something that is almost impossible with your loved ones around.
The Space is Yours
Everything is yours – the space and of course the responsibility. It doesn’t matter what size your apartment is, if it’s a three bedroom condominium or a studio unit, it’s yours. You pay your rent, plan your own budget, figure out how to repair anything that’s broken, and plan your game night or movie night with your friends.
Since it’s your responsibility, you’re the one who decides what happens to your space. It’s up to you how you want to decorate your home; if you want pink walls, why not? If you want posters of your favorite movies, covers of your favorite books or comic books on the walls, or if you want to put on display your collection, you can do it because it’s your space. Decorate your living room with mismatched colors – it’s your house and you get to decide what you want to do with it.
You also can do whatever you want. Hey, if you want to spend all day in your undies, do it! More than that, living alone will teach you how to take care of yourself and your surroundings better. You can be messy if you want to and you can have all the personal time that you want. No need to consider other people who’ll use the bathroom since you have no roommate. You can also soak in the tub as long as you want to clear your mind and have some down town. Nobody will criticize your taste in music, too.
Early Bird
When you live alone, it would be easier to change your lifestyle. In the mornings, you can move faster since you don’t have to share your space, as well as household equipment, with anyone else. In addition, there aren’t any other people to think of when you’re grocery shopping – except when you’re having people over – so it’s easier to plan a healthier meal for yourself. You can also learn how to cook for yourself later on. You are in charge of your time and all these hours living alone can help you discover something new about yourself such as a new hobby to fill in all your free time.
Living alone might seem scary at first but ultimately it’s going to be a good experience that will contribute to the growth of your character. It can also help you learn new things, unwind all the knots you have, and learn new things about yourself and about what you want to do.
